I'm doing only small TCA peels now on problem areas, and Sunday I applied 25% TCA solution to one of my most stubborn problem areas. Here's a picture after it frosted (on the left side), you can see it better by clicking on the picture to enlarge:
Here's a picture on Monday before makeup. It's pink, but the concealer hid it without problems.
Here's a picture from day 3, after concealer. The pink/brown is hidden, but there's nothing to get rid of that leathery look before it peels. When doing such small sections though, it's hard to notice. This picture is a close-up, so it would be more difficult to notice it in person.
Here's day 4:
And here are before and after pics. The problem area is on the left in the picture:

I don't see much of a change, but I have to remember that light peels have to be done in a series to be effective, so my next all-over peel will have an even better effect.

Follow me through my at-home chemical peels: see photos, read my stories, learn about peels and recovery, know what to expect from AHA, BHA, TCA, and other chemical peels to improve acne, acne scars, fine lines, sun spots, age spots, oily skin, freckles, sun damage, and wrinkles. I am neither a doctor nor a licensed esthetician. Use chemical peels at your own risk, and remember that my experience should not take the place of professional advice.
Spot treatment for hands - Before and After
My hands have finished peeling. Here are pictures through the two-week process.
I used buffered 50% TCA solution to spot treat my hands. I still have lots of small spots that I want to fade.
Here's a picture right after the application. You can see a few areas that frosted, but not all of them.
Here's a picture several hours after the application, when the spots are pink:
Here's a picture from day 5. You can see there's some peeling, but since this was a spot treatment, the peeling happens without me noticing.
The spots peeled after about 8 days, but I waited a few more days to take pictures. Here are the before and after pictures:
BEFORE:
AFTER:
There is some improvement, but different lighting makes it so hard to compare, IMHO. I do see fewer spots, and some are lighter, but I need to do a couple more all-over peels to get better results. Since winter is winding down, I'll need to get started on that right away. I think I'll apply another peel tonight...

TCA 50% Chemical peel - before and after pictures
My arms have finished peeling after the 50% buffered TCA chemical peel. Here are all the pictures.
I applied 50% TCA chemical peel
solution to my arms 15 days ago, and here's a BEFORE picture:
Here's a picture just after applying the solution; you can see the redness and the frosting:
...and here's day 3. The redness has turned brown and leathery.
And here's day 8 of the same arm.
Here's day 10:
Now, here are before and after pictures, so you can compare:
BEFORE:
AFTER:
The texture is noticeably improved, and the freckles are a tiny bit lighter, but overall, there's not much change in the freckles on this arm. I have to remember that to achieve noticeable improvements, I must do medium peels, and light peels have to be done in a series to achieve the results of a medium peel. Perhaps if I did two more of these peels on my arms, the freckles will lighten to a noticeable degree. Patience...

Spot treatment for hands - day 5
The top of this post is repeated; see the bottom for day 5 pictures.
With the left-over 50% TCA solution I used on the mole on my nose, I decided to spot treat my hands. I still have lots of small spots that I want to fade. I don't think this alone will do it, but it will help.
Here's a picture right after the application. You can see a few areas that frosted, but not all of them.

I'll definitely post again with final before and after pictures.

TCA 25% - problem area days 1-3
I'm doing only small TCA peels now on problem areas, and Sunday I applied 25% TCA solution to one of my most stubborn problem areas. Here's a picture after it frosted (on the left side), you can see it better by clicking on the picture to enlarge:
Here's a picture on Monday before makeup. It's pink, but the concealer will hide it today.
Here's a picture from today, Tuesday, after concealer. The pink/brown is hidden, but there's nothing to get rid of that leathery look before it peels. When doing such small sections though, it's hard to notice. This picture is a close-up, so it would be more difficult to notice it in person.
I use the oil cleansing method, then I slather on moisturizer and more oil. That does help heal faster, but day 3 is always a day that I dread. Fortunately with these small sections, I feel liberated to do a peel almost any time (except near functions where I want to look my best, of course). No sign of peeling yet, but I'm sure it will come tonight or by morning. Luckily school was canceled today and tomorrow for the impending storm!
