I also think that working with strong acid can be dangerous if not using the proper equipment or not having enough information.Gabihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04648277138348884470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2622568095863263559.post-78434116119981302722015-02-15T16:39:18.511-06:002015-02-15T16:39:18.511-06:00I have a friend who had a large mole on her face. ...I have a friend who had a large mole on her face. She used 100% and was aggressive, but when she'd almost gotten it off, she stopped--and it came back. The 2nd round, she was more aggressive, and although it did look rough for several months while she was doing it, she finally got rid of it. She used those small found bandages to cover it.
I usually don't reapply until the scab falls off, then I wait until it seems strong enough to handle another application. I've worked on a larger mole that I've had to wait a week to reapply after the scab fell off since it was still so red.
What I hate most about the larger mole removal is the itching! It will drive you crazy 2-3 days after the application if you're using a strong solution. I've used benadryl lotion, but it doesn't seem to help much.Gabihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04648277138348884470noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2622568095863263559.post-61618840773792520682015-02-14T01:42:50.009-06:002015-02-14T01:42:50.009-06:00I have the 50% TCA chemical peel solution, I appli...I have the 50% TCA chemical peel solution, I applied some using a q-tip as you described to one of my moles on Feb. 12th, on Feb. 13th the mole seemed "inflated". Kind of big and raised. My question is; how often am I supposed to apply the chemical peel solution? Every 2-3 days? Is it safe to apply some everyday? Please help! I have a large mole on my face and I hate it when I have a conversation with someone and all they look at is my mole as opposed to looking straight into my eyes. I don't saturate the q-tip to avoid drips and potential burns to healthy skin. Within a couple of days the moles turn black, form a scab which falls off in a few days. It's generally 7-10 days in total. I have done a large raised mole on my face which almost disappeared after the first treatment. I had mole on my temple removed by a plastic surgeon over a decade ago and the scar is raised and obvious, so I would never use another removal method.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16762587304051216477noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2622568095863263559.post-37790801981210392962012-10-04T09:45:56.554-05:002012-10-04T09:45:56.554-05:00It is really an amazing change! I have very sensitive, pale skin, so I probably have to wait for healing and do numerous applications on every mole as they fade, I want to avoid scarring as much as possible.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2622568095863263559.post-75184209497220273402012-08-01T18:58:13.558-05:002012-08-01T18:58:13.558-05:00From my understanding of numerous emails, she did ...From my understanding of numerous emails, she did nothing to the mole before applying the 50% TCA acid with a q-tip. She said it dripped, so I'm assuming she put enough on to douse it. I do know that she covered it with a band-aid several times, but I believe that was only when the ointment was on and when the scab came off early. I know for a fact that she put on only one layer of the acid but applied it until it dripped, meaning she probably re-dipped the q-tip several times on the first application. She told me that on the second application, she poured the solution into a bottle whose opening was roughly about the same size as the mole and just held it tightly against her cheek and tilted her head so that the acid completely doused the mole. I personally would never do that because I'm so clumsy I'd probably end up spilling it all over my face. What's the pH of your acid?Gabihttp://www.mychemicalpeel.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2622568095863263559.post-35651199184030444682012-08-01T15:52:10.533-05:002012-08-01T15:52:10.533-05:00How much acid is needed? I used 100% TCA on some flat, dark "test moles" on my arm and leg, it's been a week and they are red, scabby and a little flaky but the moles themselves don't seem to be peeling that much. I don't know if they will come off. I have been applying a neosporin type ointment and keeping them uncovered. When I did the application I scratched them both with a manicure tool, put the acid on with a toothpick, the moles frosted, it stung really bad, I left the acid on without neutralizing and put band-aids on, but I don't know if I put enough acid on. I was "testing" on my arm/leg because I have flat, dark moles on my face and some large, dark raised moles on my neck. I would like to get rid of the moles and then use acid peels to even out my skin.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2622568095863263559.post-9725753549754999712012-07-28T18:33:43.111-05:002012-07-28T18:33:43.111-05:00Wow, what a difference after only two applications...Wow, what a difference after only two applications.
